Day 1 - Wood Islands/Brudnell

Arrive Prince Edward Island at Wood Islands Ferry Terminal. Follow the King's Byway Scenic Drive along the southeast tip of Prince Edward Island. This scenic route takes you through rich, rolling farmland, sandy beaches, charming villages and quaint harbours. Be sure to stop in for a tour of the island's only winery in Little Sands. Drive alongside the Murray River and why not make a stop at one of the many provincial parks en route. Arrive Montague, a pretty town built on the beautiful banks of the Montague River. Overnight Brudnell.

Day 2 - Brudnell/Souris

This morning enjoy a fully narrated seal and bird watching cruise and see in season, harbour seals, native sea birds and porpoises. Depart Montague and drive via the Brudenell River Provincial Park and historic Georgetown and continue on the King's Byway Scenic Drive into the Bays and Dunes region. Beautiful white sand beaches cover most of the shoreline of this area all the way to Souris. Souris is an attractive, busy port town with many restaurants and craft shops. The town also has a rich French culture due to its close links and location to the Magdalen Islands. Overnight Souris.

Day 3 - Souris/Charlottetown

Depart early, you will need a full day to explore the tranquil Bays & Dunes Region fully. Continue along the coastal loop taking in the 'Singing Sands' at Basin Head Beach, the East Point Lighthouse, Campbell's Cove Provincial Park and St. Peter's Bay en route to Charlottetown. Overnight Charlottetown.

Day 4 - Charlottetown

Today enjoy a walking tour of Charlottetown retracing the steps of the Fathers of Confederation. Spend the afternoon exploring the attractions further afield, visit the pretty historic village of Victoria and the Fort Amherst-Port-La-Joye National Historic Site, located near Charlottetown Harbour. Overnight Charlottetown.

Day 5 - Charlottetown/Brackley Beach

Depart Charlottetown and drive north through the Anne's Land region to Brackley Beach. Enroute take time to visit the spectacular Prince Edward Island National Park. Overnight Brackley Beach.

Day 6 - Brackley Beach/Summerside

Today continue along the Blue Heron Scenic Drive to Cavendish and enroute visit North Rustico. Cavendish is home of Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea - the village of Anne of Green Gables. Depart Cavendish for Summerside. Enroute stop at Indian River and view the dramatic church of St. Mary and continue on to Kensington and visit the old stone railway station - a National Historic Site. Follow the route into the Ship to Shore region. Overnight Summerside.

Day 7 - Summerside

Although one of the newest cities in Canada, Summerside boasts a rich heritage. The stately homes that grace the downtown residential core were once home to many a wealthy shipbuilder and Spinakers Landing on the waterfront brings the shipbuilding era alive once more. The city of Summerside is now a modern, lively city with an attractive waterfront area. Travel further afield and see the Linkletter Provincial Park, visit Le Village at Mont Carmel to relive the Acadian way of life or take a trip to nearby Lennox Island to learn about the Mi'kmaq people and their way of life. Overnight Summerside.

Day 8 - Summerside.

Depart Summerside for your onward journey.
