The Magdalen Islands comprise of seven French speaking Islands belonging to Qu'bec and are a spectacular blend of green valleys, glorious white sandy beaches, vibrant red cliffs and secluded blue lagoons. The Archipelago of the Iles de la Madeleine is located in the middle of the Gulf of St Lawrence or more precisely 215 kms from the Gasp' Peninsula, 105 kms from Prince Edward Island, and 95 kms from Cape Breton.

Day 1 - Souris (P.E.I)/The Magdalen Island

Depart Souris mid afternoon and board the ferry (5 hour crossing) over to Ile du Cap aux Meules. Cap-aux- Meules is the second largest of the Islands and has the highest population. Overnight Cap-aux- Meules.

Day 2 - The Magdalen Islands (Western)

Today explore the western part of the Archipelago made up of communities such as Cap-aux-Meules, Fatima and Etang-du-Nord. Take time to explore the picturesque communities that are dotted along this coastline. Visit L'Etang-du-Nord, La Cote, Belle Anse, Fatima and Havre-Aubert - home of the La Grave Historic Site. Return to Cap-aux-Meules. Overnight Cap-aux-Meules.

Day 3 - The Magdalen Islands (Eastern)

Today explore the eastern part of the Islands. Visit the community of Havre-aux-Maison and the fish smokehouse museum located at Pointe-Basse Harbour. Continue north to Grand-Entree and visit enroute the Echouries Lighthouse and stop for a stroll along the beach at Dune-du-Sud. Continue on to Grand-Entr'e and visit the picturesque harbour and the Seal Interpretation Centre at Grande-Echourie Beach. Return to Cap-aux-Meules. Overnight Cap-aux-Meules.

Day 4 - The Magdalen Islands (Entr'e Island) Excursion (5 Hours)

This morning enjoy a full day boat excursion to Ile d'Entree, which is located at the southern part of the Archipelago. Small and barren of trees the Ile d'Entr'e is a charming Island with many green hills and few inhabitants, most of whom are of Scottish decent. Take time to visit the lighthouse, Anglican Church and Entry Island Museum. Return to Cap-aux-Meules. Overnight Cap-aux-Meules.

Day 5 - The Magdalen Islands/Souris (PEI)

This morning you will depart The Magdalen Islands via ferry back to Souris (PEI).
